God is good

Eric was going home from a swap meet Sunday, in the rain and wind. He was driving slowly where he was and the wind threw open an unlatched gate (farm size) which proceeded to hit his front windshield. He is OK- shaken up a little, the windshield was totaled. He has since had it fixed. Anyway, God is good, it could have been disastrous.

Oh, oh!

Look who has been coming in and spending a few hours at a time in the house; none other then KittyBoy! It is only when it is really cold and/or windy outside. Of course, he must be supervised and the bedroom doors closed. He usually stays in the cat bed, or will sit on my lap. He hasn't been shown the litter box, and we won't leave him in if we are gone.
What you don"t see is all the other cats sitting around looking at him, and sniffing his butt when they get the chance. There is a little hissing going on, but not to bad, Kittyboy will never be a house cat like the others, but once in a while we will let him and do want them to get along.

Jade and Jonah are now 8 years old. Chloe will be 8 in July. Squirt will be 6 in July and we found Kittyboy in July of 2003 so he will be 5 in late May or early June.

I had a CPR class last night, I didn't want to go! But I did and now it is over and I am recertified. Which is good since my card expired yesterday and it needs to be current for the review. Today I will do some housework and school work. A year and half till I retire and I am just now beginning to look forward to it.
Have a great day!

?????????

Guess who likes garbanzo beans? Elizabeth wanted to find out if Chloe liked the beans and she does. However, we don't feed them to her as a regular food. One thing that cat doesn't need is anymore food. I bet she must weight 17 or more pounds. That cat really needs to diet.

Public Opinion

"I have learned to hold public opinion of no value."— Alexander Hamilton, 1794

I like this quote, and who is "public opinion" - it is what the media people want you to believe. If you watch the media, you'd think they are running the election instead of the people who are voting. Sorry I really have no respect for people in the media as they "attempt" to change the public opinion to their own and to get the public to actually 'believe' what they are saying. (long sigh.........................................)

It has been reported that for the current primaries the polls are not accurate because people screen their phone calls (I being one of them). So what is the actual public opinion? And why all the surprises about the results? Nobody really knows until the ballots are counted. So public opinion, which the media really know nothing about, really does count. Some of the news station will describe someone like me and they say what I am thinking.? I think not what they are saying. I do not follow the crowd but stand by what I believe, and I alone.
Some of the behavior of the candidates really does matter to some of the people, if not most of the voting public. The mud is just beginning to boil.
Have a good night.

Trust God

I found this quote, and I like it. It wasn't credited with an author so it remains anonymous:
"True friends are like jewels, precious and rare. False ones are like autumn leaves, found everywhere." You should cherish those who are your friends and treat them so they know they are your friends.
It reminds me of someone who used to strive to be different (and was) but soon proved she was just like everyone else. And that always makes me sad.

We must put our trust in God, that's all I have to say.

Regardless of how much work you have to do, you can find some time to spend with God alone. As a believer, this is your number one prerogative.
The Devil will always see to it that we have little or no time to fellowship with God. But we can--and we must--make time for such fellowship. We must put first things first.

"Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh" (Gal. 5:16).

lunch

This is a tea house in Clovis. Elizabeth and I went to lunch there on Tuesday. She wasn't able to go with me to San Jose the 1st of Dec. to have brunch with Donna and Jackie (to much homework) so I told her I'd take her to the tea house in Clovis. It was nice, and we had a good time. Must take Rochelle on her next visit.

Tree down

Today we took down the lights and the trees. It always looks so bare when we do that. I really do enjoy the decorations, but it was time. Even though the 12 days of Christmas don't officially end until Jan.6.
