Eric came down Sat. night, and got a call Sunday morning that he could return home. He left around 4:30 this morning. He said his stuff (what he was able to get) is stored about an hour from his place, so he needs to get it all back.
Yes, he lives in a mobile home next to the visitors center and the campground, on top of a mountain. The brush was cleared around his place, and because of the other buildings they were ready to take a stand. They did clear the artifacts and antiques from the visitors center. Had the fire gone down the ridge then up (the up is where he is) it would have all burned. It was a safety precaution to evacuate.
I am a christian woman who has 4 wonderful children (most of the time), 2 terrific son's-in-law and 2 of the most beautiful and fantastic grandchildren. 1 new daughter-law. Life is full of many challenges everyday, that seem to never stop and always keep me on my toes, and that with God's help I will survive. I think it would be nice to be bored occasionally. I have God'ss grace & am coping. Retired now for 3 years from the local school district and at times am busier then I used to be, but then I have the time to do............other stuff!!
