Nov. 14

Last Friday, the 14th, I had another ex-ray on my foot.  So glad all is healed and no more treatment is required.  The "walking boots" have been put away.

Rain

Last night was Halloween, and we were prepared.  However, there was also the threat of rain coming around 6 PM.  The rain did come, but not until 8 PM.  There were hoards of trick or treaters out there, in bunches and just a few at a time.  The little ones usually slow down around 8 and the bigger ones will go on until 9 or so.  We usually turn the light off at 8:30 (or if we run out of candy first) and retreat into the family room.  Last night, when the rains came, it was quiet at 8.  Now we have to much candy, which I'll donate to AWANA's or the trash.

The rains came and we had a steady rain all night long.  The sound was so refreshing to hear upon waking.  It rained this morning  and a good part of the day. Probably ending around 1:30 this afternoon.  The sun is now shinning through cloudy skies, but no more rain is in our forecast. I thank God for the rain!  This drought is the pits!

Today

I found out I fractured a bone in my left foot, the one just below the little toe.  I have a "walking boot" to wear during the day, and a "boot shoe" to wear to bed.  Really!!  Not quite, I've been babying my foot for two weeks and so far it is doing good, healing well.  I wear the boot at home and the shoe out, but neither to bed.
That's about it!

Prison ministry car show

Great car show/fundraiser for the cause.  Dan enters his Studebaker every year, this year it won first place for "car in progress" category.  Someday, I hope, he will get it finished.  As an elder, the last 2 years, his time to work on the car as been put on the back-burner.  If I knew how to do the work, I'd do it.  I really do like the car.

Our son has a '59 El Camino, he also entered it in the show.  That also is a work in progress, and it also is a great car.
I forgot my camera, so used the phone camera, not near as good as my SLR!

NCAR: Fun day exploring

Just a fun day exploring with the grandchildren and our daughter.   A little hazy, but defiantly not smog, just some light clouds.

Normal

Life moves on.  Sorry for delays in blogging.  My hubby had surgery, which then irritated his carpel tunnel and making it worse.  He had surgery for that and now will have surgery on the other wrist, which means that my 2 hands will help him out until his strength is back to "normal".  I listed definitions I found on line. I pray you all have a blessed day!
